An arm of lagoon, aito trees, and silence
The plot slopes gently down to a sheltered arm of the lagoon, where the water stays flat even when the wind picks up. You launch the kayaks from the lawn, paddle out to the islet or along the coast, fish from the black rocks. Across the bay, the mountains of Tahiti Nui change colour all day. In the evening there is only the sound of the water.
At the end of the Pointe Vivish road
Leave the Teahupo'o road at PK 58, follow the Mitirapa lane to its end, and a surfboard planted in the grass marks the entrance. The whole south of Tahiti is a day trip from here.
Polynesian ceremonies
We do not arrange ceremonies at Temenino for now. Write to us if you have a plan and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
Your questions, answered
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in from 3 pm, check-out by 11 am. Your host lives next door and welcomes you on site; write to us if you arrive late or would like a later departure, and we do our best around the bookings.
Do we need a car?
Yes. The plot is secluded by design, at the end of a private lane. The shops and food trucks of Taravao are ten minutes away, Teahupo'o fifteen. Private parking is reserved behind each house.
Are the kayaks and paddleboards really included?
Yes, as are the fishing rods, the barbecue and the pavilion. They are on the lawn, yours whenever you like, with nothing to book and nothing extra to pay. Children go out with an adult.
Can we book both houses together?
Yes, for twelve people in total. The booking engine offers them together as soon as you are more than six. Same plot, same kayaks, one checkout.
Is the tap water drinkable?
No, as almost everywhere on the peninsula. Plan on bottled water, sold in Taravao ten minutes away.
Are the houses air-conditioned?
The main bedroom of each house is air-conditioned; the other rooms have fans and the lagoon breeze, which almost always blows. The living rooms open wide onto the veranda.
