Everything is on the lawn, nothing is extra
There is no menu of services at Temenino, and no front desk with opening hours. There is a plot on the lagoon and what you need to enjoy it, left out for you from the moment you arrive. Here is what that means in practice.
Kayaks and paddleboards
Stored on the lawn, a few metres from the water. The arm of lagoon in front of the houses is sheltered; you paddle to the islet, along the coast or out to the coral heads to put on a mask.
Fishing rods
From the black rocks at the end of the plot or from the kayak. Lagoon fish bite at first light and at dusk; your host will tell you what to keep and what to let go.
Barbecue and shade pavilion
A barbecue at the water's edge and a pavilion with loungers for eating outside, in the shade or under the stars. Fish from the Taravao market often ends its day here.
Washing machine and a full kitchen
Each house has its own equipped kitchen, with hob, oven and fridge, and a washing machine. For a week or a month you live normally, with the lagoon through the kitchen window.
Air conditioning and bedding
The main bedroom of each house is air-conditioned. The bedding is what reviews mention most after the place itself: king bed, chosen pillows, sheets changed between every stay.
Wi-Fi and private parking
One Wi-Fi network per house, decent for the region: email, streaming and video calls work. Private parking reserved behind each house, at the end of the lane.
Someone who lives here and answers
Slaveck lives nearby and welcomes you on site. He often brings lemons or passion fruit from the garden, lends the children a bodyboard, and knows where to eat well in Taravao that night. For everything else, the Temenino team answers on WhatsApp and by email.
